Feeding Instructions

Only serve Primal raw foods when completely thawed—frozen foods can be difficult for animals to digest. Never microwave any pet food.

Use stainless steel bowls when feeding any raw product. Other materials, such as plastic and porcelain, are porous and can trap germs over time.

    Product changed and now dogs won't eat it

    As others have noted. With the new packaging came an undisclosed change in the colour and content of the product. My dogs will no longer eat the freeze dried chicken nuggets. This was the only one they were eating after the duck nugget was discontinued. Not happy that I now have to spend time and money trying to find a new food they will eat. I do know I won't be trying any other primal nuggets products.

We recently updated our food safety process for our freeze dried products, which led to some unintended changes in the appearance of certain batches. While the color may look different, please know that every batch goes through rigorous testing to ensure it is safe and nutritious for dogs. Our team has been actively refining our processing parameters to restore the product you expect from Primal.     NEW BAG PRODUCT NOT THE SAME

    I have bought 3 bags of old packaging and peanut loves it Just bought a bag in the new packaging and this is the fourth day and he refusals to eat it, today he ate a little bit and then 2 hours later he threw it up I know it says there is no difference in product but my dog thinks there is. I can't explain it !!!!

    Packaging and formula change not good

    We purchased the “new packaging“ The Turkey & Sardine Nuggets Twice. My dog got sick throwing up and soft stool from both bags! There is a much stronger poultry sent than before. And the nuggets are discolored (darker in some areas), also harder.

    Please find a way to resolve this issue🙏. Until there we will have to use a different brand

    Nugget Changes

    I've been buying the lamb nuggets for my dog for at least the past 4 years. About 2-3 months ago, the nuggets changed and are now very hard and smaller. I have to use a hammer to break them up. What happened to your formula? Not happy now and looking for something else that isn't so difficult to prepare for my dog.

    Disappointed!

    I don't know what is going on with primal but with the new packaging came different food. I tried the beef and the lamb both my dogs have eaten for years and did fantastic on with no issues ever. So far both the nugget flavor are now a dark brown/orange and both my dogs had multiple watery orange poops after eating both recipes . After stopping the nuggets it went back to normal. I am so disappointed in primal I have been using them with both dogs for years and now I have to find a new food for them. Why screw up a great thing ? Thanks Primal

Storage Instructions

Keep product frozen until ready to thaw and use. After portioning, immediately place bag into freezer. Primal Nuggets will thaw in approximately 10 hours of refrigeration and will maintain optimum freshness for up to 7 days.

Wash hands, working surfaces, utensils and any other items that touch or contact raw pet foods with hot, soapy water. Keep this product out of reach of infants and young children.
