BARF
Bones and Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food Refers to a species appropriate diet for domestic canines and felines.

Digestive enzymes
Digestive enzymes are found in the digestive tract of animals where they aid in the digestion of food. Enzymes are "living" molecules that help to aid in breaking down the fundamental components of food creating healhty digestive flora in the intestinal tract. A healthy digestive tract aids in the rapid absorbtion of nutrients.

Essential Fatty Acids
Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are necessary fats that animals cannot synthesize, and must be obtained through diet. EFAs support the cardiovascular, reproductive, immune, and nervous systems. Pets need EFAs to manufacture and repair cell membranes, enabling the cells to obtain optimum nutrition and expel harmful waste products.

Formula
A raw Primal product consisting of a ground protein source, including muscle meat, organ meat, ground bone, organic fruits and vegetables, organic minerals and vitamin supplementation. Primal Canine Formulas are complete and balanced diets and are specific for both dogs and cats. Canine Formula protein sources include beef, chicken, duck, lamb, pheasant, quail, turkey & sardine, and venison. Feline Formula protein sources include beef & salmon, chicken & salmon, pheasant, quail, turkey, and venison.

Grind
A raw Primal product consisting of a single ground protein source, including muscle meat, organ meat and ground bone. Primal Grinds are not complete diets and are intended for supplemental feeding. This product is not species specific and can be fed to both dogs and cats. Grind protein sources include beef, buffalo, chicken, lamb, sardine, turkey.

High-Pressure Processing (HPP)
High-Pressure Processing is a unique, non-thermal process that kills pathogenic bacteria through high-pressure, water-based technology. High-Pressure Processing is a USDA-approved, 100% natural process, and is allowed for use on organic and natural products.

Minerals
Elements that are essential to the functioning of the human body and are obtained from whole food sources such as proteins, fruits, vegetables, sea vegetables and grasses. Primal Formulas contain such mineral supplements as organic kelp, spirulina, alfalfa and organic raw apple cider vinegar.

Mix
A raw Primal product consisting of a single ground protein source, including muscle meat, organ meat, ground bone, and organic fruits and vegetables. Organic
Products produced without the use of chemical fertilizers, growth stimulants, antibiotics, or pesticides.

Raw Meaty Bones
Raw Meaty Bones (RMBs) are also considered "soft" bones as they do not splinter when fed raw and can be fully consumed by your pet. The purpose of feeding RMBs is for tooth, gum and jaw health. Primal RMBs include chicken necks, chicken wings, chicken backs and turkey necks. These bones can be fed up to 30% of your pets total daily feeding regimen. RMBs are to be fed under supervision.
