We recommend following these safe-handling instructions to ensure a successful and long-term feeding program for you and your pet. Feeding raw foods to your pet is safe and simple as long as you follow the handling procedures outlined below.

	Keep our raw foods frozen until ready to use.
	Defrost raw foods in refrigerator following our standard thawing instructions, or use our quick-thaw tips until food is completely defrosted.
	After serving a thawed meal portion of food, immediately place any remaining thawed meal portions into the refrigerator.
	After portioning frozen food from the freezer to thaw, immediately return remaining food in the bag to the freezer.
	Raw foods will maintain optimum freshness for 3-5 days under refrigeration.
	We recommend feeding raw foods in a stainless-steel bowl.
	Wash all work surfaces, utensils, hands and food bowls with hot, soapy water after handling raw meats and poultry.
	Keep raw meats and poultry away from children.
	Keep raw meats and poultry separate from other foods.

Tips

Cleanup
Try using two different colored sponges in the kitchen -- one for cleaning your dishes and another for cleaning your pet's dishes.

Wipes
Using disinfecting wipes in the kitchen can help with quick cleanups after preparing your pet's food.

Use Stainless
Using stainless-steel bowls is the best for feeding any raw product. Other materials such as plastic and porcelain are porous and can trap germs over time.
