Just wanted to share a blog post and a video that I made of Bowdu, our Shiba Inu, waiting for me to prepare his Primal Raw dinner:

Blog

We started feeding Primal Raw this summer for the sake of dealing with his ongoing allergies and his recently diagnosed hypothyroidism (part of why he looks a bit tubby in the video -- it's NOT because we're overfeeding him! ;]). In all his six years, he's never "sang" for his supper like this!

I just want to let you know just how much I LOVE your product and the ingredients you use. I LOVE the fact that you are a smaller company that truly cares about it's products. My dog loves all of your flavors and I love what you have to offer. Thank you for letting me know that what I'm giving my dog is a hormone-free product with organic ingredients. I would drive miles for Primal and recommend it to anyone that cares about their dog!

Our 6 year old Westie, Toby has been on Primal all his life. He is a happy and healthy little dog. He has no health problems which might be indicative to the West highland Terrier breed. As a result, when we adopted Bentley our little "Chorkie" (Chihuahua/Yorkie) 2 years ago, we immediately started him on Primal raw food. He too is a very happy, healthy and active little dog. I cannot praise this food enough for its wholesome goodness and its complete and balanced nutrition keeping our little pups so healthy.

Thanks guys,

After the pet food recalls of 2007 (which caused one of my 3 cats health issues that ultimately took her life 2 years later), I searched high and low for a safe and healthy cat food that I could trust. I eventually found Evo. My 2 cats (a 14 year old male Maine Coon, and a 10 year old male stray that I took in 4 years ago) accepted the food and seemed to be doing much better on the new diet.

It was announced a few months ago that Proctor & Gamble acquired Natura Pet Products, Inc. (the makers of Evo). I once again searched for another food that I could trust for my furry children. That is when I finally gave a raw food diet some serious consideration. I researched the options and decided to give Primal a chance. They immediately took to the taste and consistency.

It has been 2 months and unfortunately my stray kitty made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge a week ago (related only to the past damage of a poor diet he was receiving on the streets), my 14.5 year YOUNG Maine Coon is thriving. I have since gotten a 6 month old Female Maine Coon kitten and she can't keep her nose out of his Primal! After a couple days of settling in, I started giving her a 1/4 brick of Primal with her kitten food and she is loving it! I figure within a week or two more, I should have her 100% on a Primal raw food diet and thriving.

Thank you so much Primal, for caring enough to make such a great quality food that matches my kitties "Primal" need for a natural diet.

All of my dogs were having one kind of issues or another on even the high end holistic dry dog foods. Our little Maltese suffered from IBD and chronic diarrhea. Our yorkie didn't want to eat at all. One of our Pomeranians suffered from bladder stones and chronic UTI's, another of our poms has liver problems and seizures, another of our poms was overweight and another had very a very thin, brittle, dull coat. We were spending a literal fortune at our vets office but nothing was working to correct any of these issues.

After discussing all these problems with the owner of Healthy Pet Products In Pittsburgh, PA she recommended I try Primal. The thought of handling raw food was disgusting to me but with so many constant health issues I was willing to try anything to help my precious dogs. I'm so glad I did!

After only 2 months our little Maltese has had no more intestinal issues and his diarrhea stopped after two days on the Primal. Our Yorkie gobbles down this food now and has never refused a meal. Our poor little guy with the UTI's has not had one since switching to Primal. Our boy with seizures had not had one seizure or hypoglycemic episode. Our little fatty is at a normal weight now and the one with the horrible coat is now in great shape.

I would not have believed that a food could make such a difference if I hadn't seen the changes with my own eyes. I don't know who I would like to thank more, Primal or the owner of Healthy Pet Products and I have to admit handling the Primal was no different than handling any other dog food and we are now going to try the Primal raw meaty bones. Thank you Primal!

I just wanted to say that my guys are loving the feline raw frozen Beef & Salmon and Chicken & Salmon Formulas. I have two baby jungle kittens nine weeks old from Africa that will get up to 35 to 45 pounds. I have been feeding them raw chicken necks and chicken hearts. BUT!!!! I just found your food and tried it. OMG. They love it... Thanks for making my life cleaner and easier.

My 10-year old cat got sick about 2 years ago and went from slightly overweight to very under weight. She lost 3/4 of her weight during this time. The doctors ran all kinds of tests and could not find out what's wrong to this day. On top of all this, she now cannot digest most commercial cat food. She's hungry all the time but whatever she eats, she vomits up soon after. I didn't really know what to do, it's a battle trying to maintain her weight and keep her healthy. I give her supplements and small amounts of chicken, but too much and it's diarrhea and vomit.

Finally, my sister who feeds her dog Primal told me about it and bought me a pack of Feline Turkey Raw Frozen formula to try. I gave it to her, bracing myself for the vomit and was so relieved that she likes the food and is digesting it just fine. I'm a convert and and keeping my fingers crossed that my cat will be back to her robust self soon. Thank you.

I have been feeding my 2.5 yr old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Morgan, Primal for about a year and he loves it! His coat is beautiful, his teeth are pearly white, he never begs for food or acts hungry because he's totally satisfied with his food. His favorite is the new rabbit formula. We use all formulas for an overall complete diet. Morgan's success story is his overall health.

Unfortunately, I had to learn about feeding the best food the hard way. Three years ago, being uneducated in the field of pet nutrition, I lost my other chessie, Hunter, to the pet food recall. Like so many people I thought I was feeding a good food to my pet companion. Not the case. I wasn't sure if I would ever be a "dog mom" again but if I did I was going to make sure this never happened again. I started studying, researching, taking holistic pet care and nutrition classes worked at a natural pet food store for about a year. I have my own business and I now educate other people about pet nutrition and holistic pet care either one on one or in group settings. If I can get one person a day to look at what they are feeding their pet and make a change (preferably to Primal Raw Diets), I feel like that's a success story.

For Morgan, he's a Dock Dog competitor (his first season). At 93 lbs. he just jumped his best at his last competition, 19' 7". He went to the finals and finished 3rd in his division, twice. This season so far and it's not over, he's brought home 14 ribbons! In his off season he is tracking for Search & Rescue and swims year round. He's a picture of health and I know it's the raw Primal diet he eats that's a huge contributor.

I just wanted to say thanks for the amazing nutritious food you offer, not to mention all the variety! I have a Sphynx (hairless) kitten and I can't even begin to describe, how much she LOVES Primal food -- ALL of them. I did a lot of research before choosing your product, finding it to be the best for my cat. She is thriving and I know she will grow up to be a healthy cat.
Thanks again,

Our two mini-dachshunds were pronounced FAT by our vet in 2006, and I was told to put them on a diet immediately. It was entirely our fault--we tried to get our finicky eaters to eat by offering them foods they like: cheese, people scraps, adding 1/2 and 1/2 to their dog food so they'd eat it--you know the drill... So, I did some research and found the Bones and Raw Food (BARF) diet. It sounded great--only question was, would the dogs eat it? I came across Primal and we tried it. The dogs LOVE it. We no longer have persnickety eaters and they wolf their food down in less than 60 seconds--no lie!!! Luci Roy and PD Boy are steadfast Primal customers.
